From a mountain farm to a 4-star superior hotel
Tradition, warmth and genuine hospitality for generations
Our story begins with a traditional mountain farm in the Kaiserwinkl region of Tyrol. As early as the 1920s, our family was granted a licence to serve non-alcoholic drinks, thereby laying the foundation for the tradition of hospitality that continues to characterise the Peternhof to this day.
The life’s work of Christian Mühlberger Sr.
He always thought big – yet acted with prudence: the hotel continued to grow steadily and, over the years, was continually expanded, modernised and lovingly refined.
To this day, we are guided by his motto:
“Preserve the old, yet always move with the times.”
Hosts with heart and personality
Tradition, Tyrolean hospitality and family unity are just as central to us as new ideas, modern comforts and the ongoing development of our hotel.
Even after his death in July 2020, Christian Mühlberger Sr. remains an integral part of the Peternhof. His life’s work, his values and his passion are evident throughout the hotel and deeply rooted in our family.
Since 2020, his son, Christian Mühlberger Jr., has been running the Peternhof – with the same enthusiasm and joy in welcoming guests. Together with his mother, Rosi, and the whole family, they continue to make a point of maintaining a personal connection with their guests to this day.
“I grew up with the Peternhof and was able to witness the passion with which my father built this establishment. Carrying on his life’s work fills me with great gratitude. It is important to me to preserve what has stood the test of time whilst, at the same time, carefully developing the Peternhof further – with the aim of giving our guests unforgettable moments of enjoyment.”
Rosi looks after our guests’ well-being with great warmth, is always ready to listen to their requests, and creates a special atmosphere throughout the resort with her thoughtful touches.
